Reproduction Camels Care
The Camel Breeding Centre (Camel Reproduction Care Unit) develops plans and programmes to help proliferate Camels, and provide suitable resorts for them through the following activities:-
  • Advising in selection of recipient camels and donor bull for breeding programmes
  • Participation in insemination processes under specialised supervision
  • Supervision of pregnant camels throughout pregnancy, and reporting of any unwarranted changes to concerned authorities
  • Cooperation with Veterinary Doctors, specialists and Delivery Technicians during the process of parturition
  • Supervision of the health of new-born and newly weaned camel calves before handing them over to the concerned divisions
  • Cooperation with Camels Records Division for the issuing of Birth Certificates
  • Nurturing of calves, setting up of breast feeding and care programmes, and handing over of the calves to Taming Division when appropriate
