Participation is limited to the owners of Omani Camels in the area;
- Only camels possessing ID numbers registered with the Omani Equestrian and Camel Federation will be allowed to participate;
- Camels under joint ownership may participate in track events;
- Crossbred camels will not be allowed to participate;
- Grouping of participating camels for events is based on existing records of age, which will, therefore, not be permitted to be upgraded at the Festival;
- The following categories of camels will be denied any prizes that they may win during the festival:
- Those found straying on the Festival premises without permission from the Committee;
- Those found wandering on the Festival premises without riders;
- Those found to have been subjected to electrical shock treatments;
- Those proven to have been administered stimulating drugs.
- Further, whoever is proven to have administered stimulating drugs or electrical shocks to his camel will be severely penalised by the Omani Equestrian and Camels Federation
